Behind every business, there is a story. And ours is one of passion, dedication, and a love for hospitality. Just Sleep is not just a hostel; it’s a dream turned into reality.

In February 2022, we first opened our doors to welcome tired travellers from around the world. This was an exciting moment for our family, who were the driving force behind this venture.

And with 10 amazing children, managing the Just Sleep Hostel felt like a walk in the park! Our guests didn’t need their lunches packed or their shoes tied. And they were pretty self-sufficient with our unmanned accommodation, although there’s always someone on hand if needed.

That might be one of us, our weekend staff members, or even the occasional live-in staff who are always seasoned travellers. But, the hostel is more than just a cosy haven for our visitors; it’s an opportunity for us to devote more time to our family. And, this is particularly important, given that our brave daughter, Sophie, has been courageously battling Wilms’ Tumour, a form of childhood kidney cancer, for the past 6 years.

It has been, and still is, incredibly tough for us all. But witnessing the strength and resilience Sophie has shown throughout her fight has been a constant inspiration.

It has motivated us to take on this previously failed hostel and turn it into the thriving business it is today. What’s more, the kindness and support that we’ve received from our guests and community has been truly unforgettable.

We’ve been given a new perspective on life. And we’re dedicated to making every moment count.

The hostel’s success is not just a business achievement for us; it is a symbol of hope, resilience, and unity in our family, friends, and guests.

We’re excited to continue growing and providing a comforting place to rest for our guests while cherishing the precious moments with our family.
